Over the years, Woodstream has installed hundreds of patios. Our specialty is working with interlocking paving stones, such as Unilock products. Our designers will meet with you and come up with a plan that reflects your ideas along with strong design principles. Let us draw up a design that will bring out the special features of your home.

When we install a tree, shrub or perennial planting, you can be assured that you are getting the best plant possible for that location. Our design staff is adept at the correct placement of plants in your design so as to produce an attractive setting, not future problems. With over 40 years in business, Woodstream Nurseries has the experience to do the right job the first time. Using only the highest quality materials and shrubs ensures a quality finished product for years to come.

The installation process is completed by our experienced landscape crews (most whom have been with Woodstream for 15-25 years).. Their expert installation allows us to offer a strong guarantee to our customers. We will not consider a job complete until our customer is completely satisfied.

Our guarantee: When Woodstream Nurseries installs your planting, we will replace at NO CHARGE any woody plant that is not alive and growing two years from the date of planting. Roses, perennials and Ornamental Grasses are guaranteed until October first of the year in which they are planted.

It is located on Wolcott Road which is off of Transit, just 2 roads north of North French Road. Our “country” location lends itself to a relaxed shopping experience. Browse to your hearts content and feel free to ask us any questions! Our courteous, experienced staff is always happy to work with you to make your landscape selection of plants and materials. The store has many outdoor display gardens, which not only spot light shrubs and perennials, but many examples of Unilock walls, walkways & patios. Our indoor display of Unilock walls & pavers in various colors & styles gives a true idea of the many options available. Cleanups and Patio Restorations

Spring and Fall Landscape Cleanups:

Make your landscape investment shine! All landscapes need some TLC to keep them in top shape. The following items can be completed as part of your landscape cleanup by our experienced crews…

Remove all debris, leaves, etc. from your plantings

Address winter damage and remove dead wood from plantings. (Spring)
Trim plantings as necessary (shaping and pruning).
Cut new edge on bed areas.
Re set curbing and repair as necessary.
Fertilize plant material.
Weed and cultivate areas as needed.
Apply weed preventer to beds.
Apply new layer of mulch. (Spring)
Touch up existing mulch.
Clean lawn areas as needed.
Replace any dead plants. (Spring)
Cut back perennials. (Fall)
Lawn repair from plow damage (Spring).

Deer and Rabbit Deterrent:

For winter plant protection of your landscape investment, have Woodstream apply animal repellent. The taste of the product helps to deter deer and rabbits from your landscape plants. Please note that while our application does an excellent job deterring animals from damaging your plantings, it is not guaranteed. We have been using this taste repellent for more than 30 years, at our customers homes & in our Nursery, and are very pleased with the results! Contact us in early Fall for an estimate. Application is done around Thanksgiving to get a winter of protection.

Paver Polymeric Jointing Sand Application:

Polymeric Jointing Sand is a high-tech mix of graded sand and binder, specially formulated for the filling of joints between pavers or slabs. The sands are applied to new and restored patios, walkways and driveways. The sand stays in place and remains stable. When dry, the sand becomes almost as hard as concrete. When wet, it becomes soft but stays within joints. The sand will inhibit weed growth, help insure the stability of your interlocking system and will help eliminate insect infestation. Woodstream has an experienced crew that has underwent a Certified Applicator program for this process. There are very specific site and weather conditions that must be met for a proper application.

Cleaning and Sealing Pavers:

To preserve and bring out the color on pavers an application of sealer may be applied. Sealer helps to protect the pavers from contaminants, making regular maintenance much easier. On a new installation, make sure the 60-day waiting period is respected. On an existing installation, with newly applied Polymeric Jointing Sand, make sure the 30-day curing period is over. Our Certified Applicators are trained and tested on the proper application and site conditions.

Outdoor Lighting

Adding low voltage landscape lighting to your garden or deck area can bring a whole new ambiance to your home and provide the perfect spot for outdoor entertaining. The goal is to accent focal points subtly, then use additional fill light to illuminate pathways and add texture and shadow. Lighting a landscape can extend the use of outdoor space while providing safety, atmosphere and space definition. Lighting can also accent areas of a landscape or create patterns and contrast. Nighttime use of a landscape requires good visibility. It is not essential to highly illuminate all areas, but highlight specific areas like steps, entry areas and walkways to eliminate shadows and dark spots. Walkway lights can define the curve of a sidewalk or an abrupt corner. Lights around the perimeter of a landscape can define the area and create transitions from one area to another. Directional lights can accent a feature, emphasizing it more at night than it is in daylight. Rain, fog and snow are much more dramatic in the night when illuminated. Dark and light contrasts and shadow patterns are much more interesting with night lighting. Lamp grids or shields can be used to make well defined light patterns not possible in the daylight. Woodstream has a demo kit that can be set up to preview lighting systems. Lights can be tried in various layouts for the best effects.
